PEのGoal Statement

Goal:
  • My weakest point is word pitch, which to some extent influences sentence intonation as well. long vowels and double consonants are relatively find since they can be easily identified from word spelling and remembered.

Activities:
  • listen to each word's correct pitch whenever learning new vocabulary
  • go to japanese table at Mathey every wednesday
  • sign up for Shibata-sensee's office hour once a week

Buena suerte, Sara

It's the beginning, not the end. How did I fall in love..?

Japanese anime is my biggest motivation of studying the language. I spent my childhood in China where the TVs liked to play many of the classic japanese animes. Every day after school, I couldn't wait to rush back home and watch my "Daily show". Nah, I'm the おたく?

Here's the ranking of my favorite animes from childhood(and even now since I reviewed some of them last year):
1. 名探偵コナン
2. スラムダンク
3. デジモン
4. 聖闘士星矢
5.テニスの王子様
6.新世紀エヴァンゲリオン
7.ちびまる子ちゃん
.....

The list is very long so I omit the rest.

Anyways, I'm very excited to learn the Hiraganas and Katakanas so that I can at least read the Japanese lines or sing Japanese OSTs of these animes.

The Hiraganas and Katakanas are rather difficult to remember. They require lots of practice. Many of them look really similar to me.

But..頑張って!
